My favorite season is winter. Some people don’t like winter, because it is cold. But I enjoy it very much. Winter has good memories and a lot of events.
When I was a junior high school student, I lived in Kitami. School basically has skiing in Japan. Some students have skiing lessons at school, but we had skating lessons in Kitami at school. My favorite season is spring. I live in Hokkaido, and I think spring is the best time of the year for two main reasons.
The biggest reason is the weather. In Hokkaido, winter is very long, cold, and dark. We have a lot of snow, so we must wear heavy coats every day. It is a difficult season. However, when spring comes, the snow melts and the days become longer and brighter. The temperature is good and It is not too hot like summer, and it is not freezing like winter. The air is cool and dry. This weather makes me feel happy and good. I can go outside comfortably without a heavy jacket.
Another reason is the beautiful nature. I have many cherry trees near my house. , there are 1,000 of them growing along the Yufutsu River in Tomakomai City. I don't know if there are really 1,000. That's why I often go to see these cherry blossoms in the spring. There are many other places with cherry blossoms in Hokkaido, so I hope to visit them someday. Also, spring brings Golden Week.
